It's a hard slog..

Being a teenager is hard nowadays, the thought just crossed my mind.

Exam after exam, being tested on every aspect in your life, and then categorizing you on your so called 'ability'. I suppose I'm average in the eyes of society. 99% of people are labelled as average or just 'another person'. I guess you have to do something 'different' to get anywhere today, don't ask me what. Start a revolution. Make yourself noticed. But how? Many people prefer not to be noticed.. that's understandable. "Life's short" "No point trying to change the world" Probably won't benefit you anyway. But why live a normal life? I guess if you only live once and only get around 70 odd years, then we might as well have ambitions and unrealistic goals. You never know, they might happen.

Journalism, Travel writing, Travelling around the world. They are very easy to say, only a few words to me at the moment. Although I'd love to make them a reality. But I'm a teenager, a 'child' in some people's eyes, and all children have very unrealistic goals. "I want to be a singer when I grow up", "I want to be a footballer, famous, a model, or even a TV presenter." Will it happen though? Probably not. As pessimistic as it sounds. You have to work for it in this day and age, and as the years go by life seems to get harder. Financial trouble and a 'broken' society. I feel sorry for those being born now, so innocent and unaware of how hard life can be. Emotions getting the better of people.

But you never know.

That phrase I will take with me anywhere and everywhere.
There's no point assuming something won't happen, otherwise it won't happen because you've told yourself it won't, and not trying means a 0% chance of something happening, trying gives you a chance I guess.
Words are hard to get your head round sometimes...

And yes, I am a negative person possibly 80% of the time, but I have moments like this where I see sense. I'm in the process of learning to be positive and listen to my own good advice.
A very special person has taught me well. Making me a better person and focusing on the 'bright side'.
That's the one thing you need to achieving those ambitions. Positiveness.
